Tria is the home hair removal tool that is most like the tools used in professional laser hair removal clinics.  It uses essentially the same technology.  A laser is directed at the hair.  As you know, dark color absorbs light and gets hot, like a dark-colored car roof on a sunny day. In the hair, it is melanin that absorbs the light, energizing the hair. When the light energy is converted to intense heat in the hair, it weakens or destroys the hair follicle where the hair grows.  With repeated treatment, the hair is often totally eradicated and doesn’t grow back.
