Silk’n SensEpil Review
Editor's Review
General Overview
The home hair removal business is booming and one of the products on the leading edge is the Silk’n SensEpil™ hair remover with patented HPL, or Home Pulsed Light technology. Similar to laser treatments, HPL is designed to effectively and permanently remove unwanted hair anywhere on your body through the use of light energy. If you have been searching for a safe means of hair removal and have not found a tool that actually works then this one is worth a very close look. Here’s what the Silk’n SensEpil™ hair removal system has to offer.
Approved by the FDA and Recommended by Physicians
The FDA won’t allow tools of this type onto the market unless it has rigorously tested them to determine that they are safe. The Silk’n SensEpil™ passed these tests and has been certified for use in home settings. Now you can experience the results once offered only in laser hair removal clinics in the privacy and comfort of your home, and at a fraction of the cost of professional services. In addition, many physicians that have concerns about traditional laser hair removal recommend this device to their patients because some consider it to be gentler on the skin.
To ensure safety the Silk’n SensEpil™ has been upgraded to contain a built-in sensor that prevents it from being activated on skin that is too dark for safe use, just another sign of the company’s commitment to safety first and foremost. When darker tones of skin are exposed to intense light then the skin absorbs it and becomes hot. This will never happen when you use the patented Light Sensor from Silk’n SensEpil. The sensor is incorporated into each Disposable Lamp Cartridge that is good for about 750 light pulses, enough to cover the entire body.
Realize Cost Savings Over Professional Clinics
Professional hair removal clinics are very expensive. Single treatments on just one area of the body can cost more than this device does. So for a fraction of what you would pay to have hair permanently removed at a clinic you can own a tool that will allow you to do the job at home on all the areas of your body you wish to render free of hair. Keep in mind, however, that the basic tool requires periodic refill cartridges which add somewhat to the expense of using it.
The Silk’n SensEpil™ Uses Revolutionary HPL Technology – Intense Pulsed Light Hair Removal
Home Pulsed Light technology was designed and patented for use in this unique home remedy tool. The HPL uses intense light therapy to remove hair for good. The dark hair absorbs the light where it is transformed to heat. The HPL technology safely destroys the follicles of actively growing hair so that it will fall out and not return.
Since not all hair is actively growing at any given time, repeated treatments over the course of 6-12 months will completely rid the area of all hair current hair growth. Most beauty experts recommend repeating the process every 3-5 weeks until the hair does not reappear.
This scientifically advanced form of hair removal has been in use in clinics and spas throughout Europe and North America for more than 15 years with proven, verifiable results. Clients rave about its ability to comfortably and safely remove hair permanently. However, until the introduction of this product no home tool was available that could achieve professional results at such a low cost.
The Silk’n SensEpil is Easy to Use and Fast
While the technology packed into this dynamic tool is very sophisticated, it is also very easy to use. The directions are absolutely clear and straightforward. With just a bit of reading and very little setup you can be using this tool right out of the box in a few short moments.
Not only can anyone master this complex tool that features outstanding ease of use, it takes very little time to treat each area. For example, while it may require up to an hour for each leg with traditional laser treatments, the Silk’n SensEpil™ will effectively treat both legs in under 30 minutes, about the same time as it takes to cover a man’s chest. If you have just 10-15 minutes per day you’ll treat all the areas where you want to remove hair in under one week.
Experience Pain-Free Hair Removal
Most users do not experience any pain, though some report mild discomfort caused by the heating of the hair follicle. Just a slight sensation is felt by most people, a welcomed relief from the pain caused by waxing and clinically performed laser treatments. While the discomfort level in each person varies the relative lack of pain has always been one of the features users have rated the most highly for the Silk’n SensEpil™.
It Comes Highly Recommended
Not only do dermatologists and clinical specialists recommend the Silk’n SensEpil™, it is highly rated by some of the leading authorities on beauty products. Among those that have pointed out the value of this fine tool and suggested its use to their audience are Elle Magazine, Good Morning America hosts, Allure Magazine and Teen Vogue Magazine. That indeed is high praise for a breakthrough home hair removal product!
Our Choice for the Best Home Hair Removal Product in its Class
Because the Silk’n SensEpil is offers tremendous hair removal performance with very little discomfort we believe it is the finest hair removal product currently on the market. It is easy to use and very affordable when compared to hair removal done in a professional clinic.

I’m like most Asian Americans in that my hair tends to be very thick and coarse. When I shave you can see and feel stubble within one day, and shaving seems to make it grow back more thickly. I was getting desperate to find something affordable that would really work. When I tried the Silk’n I noticed positive results right away. The hair that did return was thinner and it grows in much slower. Now I shave just twice a week and every time I use this the hair comes back more slowly, and I am very thankful. I use the highest setting to get these results, but I think in time I’ll be able to use it less often and at a lower setting.
Five months ago we did a test on my boyfriend’s leg. He is Caucasian with light skin. I made him go through it at level 5 to experience what we gives have to endure to get smooth legs. I think a lower setting would have worked because his leg hair is fine. The area of his leg we did has still not grown back – which he’s not thrilled about. But this tool works! Stop shaving and start using the Silk’n SensEpil. I’ve used this product, seen the results first hand, and believe in its ability to get rid of hair.
Hot debate. What do you think?

No longer having to shave makes the cost well worth it! After just 4 treatments and I can now wait a week to shave my underarms and 2 weeks before I have to shave my legs. Each time I use Silk’n SensEpil less hair grows back, too, so I can go longer between having to use it or shave. I did the first one at a lower power level but when I put it on 5 it was only mildly painful on some area. I always use it on 5 now and think most people could. The first light cartridge lasted long enough for me to get 4 complete treatments out of it, which was much longer I thought it would last.

I’ve had this device for a couple of months now and it doesn’t work correctly. When I bought it I read the brochure and watched the video. But when I try the product it lights up infrequently and I can’t figure out why. When I called the company they couldn’t help me determine what was wrong or if it could be fixed so they sent me a second one. It worked great the first time and I was really happy with the results. But then it didn’t fire the second time I went to use it. It seems like an effective way to get rid of hair if I can just get it to work right. If anyone has any suggestions about what I might be doing wrong in trying to make it work I would love to hear them.

Not long ago I purchased the Silk’n SensEpil and it has far exceeded my expectations. I am very impressed with this product! I didn’t think laser hair removal would work so I never went to a professional clinic. Now I don’t have to because this really works. I’ve used it just a few times and I notice a big difference. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try laser treatments at home. You’ll save money and get good results.

I was blown away by the results that I got from my new Silk’n SensEpil. To start with, the price is really affordable when you think of how expensive it would be to buy waxing or shaving products your whole life. And it’s a lot less expensive than the outrageous rates you have to pay for professional laser hair removal. I’ve used it for a couple of months and the hair isn’t coming back in most places. I recommend it to everyone – it isn’t painful and it saves a lot of money. And it really works! You should give it a try.

I’m writing to share my story of how well this product works for me and my wife. We have used it every 2 weeks for almost 3 months, so like 6 or 7 treatments. Right away the hair started growing back more slowly and there was less of it. After the third or fourth time we used it there is definitely less hair growth in every zone we have used it.
In some areas the hair removal seems to be permanent. I have a couple patches on my leg that grow back but I think there were areas I missed since they are all together. It just shows me how great this works. My wife’s legs are almost completely free of hair.
I have received professional laser treatment and I think this product works just as well. I recommend it to anyone who wants permanent hair removal but is afraid to go to a laser clinic, or wants to save money. This system isn’t cheap but it costs less than half of what professional laser treatments cost for just one total session. This device seems to be built with good quality. We haven’t had any problems and it works good on every area. The cartridges last almost exactly as long as they say to expect. Remember to stock up on them so you have one when you need it and the other runs out.

I got tired to the shaving bumps and having to shave twice a week so I gave Silk’n SensEpil a try and after 3 treatments, the hair grows back very fine, it all all and I already have some spots where the hair doesn’t grow back at all.
I love how gentle this is on my skin – I don’t have the pain tolerance for waxing and shaving always leaves me with dark stubble and I end up shaving 2-3 times per week to keep up with the hair growth. In a few more treatments, my underarm area should be free of hair and my legs are doing well, too.
Works great and considering the price, it’s well worth it.

After my 2nd treatment, I’m amazed at how easy the Silk’n SensEpil is to use.
I’ve been starting on a small patch on my leg to see how I react and how it works compared to shaving – and after 2 treatments, I am seeing real results!
The hair is growing back slower and is very fine. My next treatment I’m going to do both legs and hope to see a big reduction in hair, especially at the ankles, where it seems to be thickest and darkest – which really bothers me during capri season.
Much better than shaving, no bumps, nicks, or stragglers. It’s neater and far more gentle to the skin, which I do appreciate.
I love to wear capris – practically live in them, so I’m hoping this will really take care of the hair and leave my legs feeling and looking silky smooth.
